Moving the office – Stress and more…

AdultChamber has been in the same office location since it started in 1998.  As a matter of fact, our company, Online Technologies has been here, at this Boca Raton office, since 1995, when we moved from Long Island, New York. 

Last month we were shocked when our office complex landlord told us that they were raising or rent by 23%.  Imagine, raising the rent now, with all the vacant office space?

So, we’re moving…  It was not an easy decision to make and come May 31st, we have to be out of this office space.  Do you have any idea how much ‘stuff’ there is to pack?
As I type this I am taking a break from going through file cabinet after file cabinet, shelf unit after shelf unit.  What do I pack and what do I throw out.  There is so much memorabilia. Do I trash an original IBM OS2 box? What about the thousands of business cards from people I met at all the shows from way back in 1999-2006?  It brings tears to my eyes to see all the companies in our industry that have gone by the wayside. Remember the glory days when Ibill and other merchant processors were around. Remember the guys at LikeWhoa.com with their triple booth at Internext, when they would not speak to anyone, but would sit at the booth and do office computer work? So many companies have come and gone in the adult internet industry.  It’s sad!
